A striking blend of performance and prestige.
Silver is convincing in pure vision alone. Yet, a closer inspection makes a stronger argument still. Worlds apart from the conventional in form, detailing and technical cunning, it rightly assumes the role created by architect/designer Hadi Teherani as “the first office chair of the 21st century.”
Conspicuously absent is the presence of numerous levers and adjustments. Instead, intuitive controls are cleverly recessed within the chair’s unmistakable shell. The ergonomic genius of Silver is a synchronous recline mechanism, which combines and balances the motion of the backrest and the seat.
Equally eloquent are Silver’s transparent wheels, or technically, its patented, hermetically sealed open casters (which, intriguingly, serve to discharge static.)
Finally, Silver is not one chair but a complete statement of line with the essential design flexibility: three aluminum finishes; molded beech shells in black, white or Makassar veneer; a variety of fabric and leather upholsteries.
